One Prussia 3 Mark coin, minted between 1908-1912, in Very Fine or better condition. These coins have moderate wear, with all design features still well-designed. All of our coins have natural patina/toning, and have never been cleaned.
Prior to German unification in the late 19th century, Germany was comprised of a large number of independent states. Of the dozens of states, Prussia emerged as the most powerful, eventually unifying with or subjugating the rest. These coins were produced after German unification, as many of the former states continued to operate their own mints. The coins feature Wilhelm II (r. 1888-1918), the last King of Prussia and Emperor of Germany. Wilhelm II abdicated following the defeat of Germany in World War I and lived out the rest of his life in exile.
