1878-1904 Morgan Silver Dollar (F Condition)

$30.95

One Morgan Dollar, minted between 1878-1904, in Fine condition. These coins have seen moderate-heavy circulation, but have full rims and relatively well-defined design details and lettering.

The Morgan dollar derives its name from the coin's original designer, George Morgan.  The obverse features a portrait of Lady Liberty, while the reverse features a bald eagle with wings triumphantly spread.  The eagle grasps a clutch of arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbols of military might and peace.

These beautiful U.S. coins, minted from 1878-1921, are the iconic Western silver dollars.  The silver in these dollars came from Nevada silver mines, and most of these coins circulated heavily among bars and saloons in the west.  This is a large, hefty chunk of .900 fine silver, measuring an inch and a half across and weighing in at nearly an ounce.

The photograph illustrates the quality of the coin(s) you will receive, not the exact item. Years and mintmarks will be of our choosing.
