One 1935 British crown, in Very Fine or better condition. These coins have seen moderate circulation, but their design features and lettering are still well-defined. All of our coins have natural patina/toning, and have never been cleaned.
This one-year design was struck to commemorate the 25th year of King George V's reign (his silver jubilee). The coin's reverse, depicting the famous scene of St. George slaying the dragon, shows a strong influence from the Art Deco movement of the 1930's. This coin is nicknamed the "Rocking Horse" crown because of St. George's rigid, wooden-looking steed.
